Professor Paul O’Reilly

Professor Paul O’Reilly is a Professor in Statistical Genetics at the Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai, New York. With a background in mathematics, genetic epidemiology and population genetics, he develops methods and software tools to identify genetic variants leading to disease, to predict complex traits and diseases from genetics, and to investigate the evolution of the genome.

In recent years his lab has focused on polygenic risk scores (PRS), including pathway-based PRS and multi-ancestry PRS, developing tools including PRSice, PRSet and BridgePRS.
