Dr Antonella Pirone

Dr Antonella Pirone is a neuroscientist with extensive experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, specialising in preclinical and translational studies. She has contributed to two successful biotechnology acquisitions supported by strong preclinical and Phase I data packages.

Prior to joining the biotechnology sector, Dr Pirone spent more than 15 years in research at academic institutions in Italy, Austria, Germany and the USA. She has experience as a team and project leader in drug discovery, spanning early research through to clinical development, with interests ranging from basic science and drug discovery to business development. Her interest in innovation and entrepreneurship also led her to join the Startup Leadership Program (SLP) in Boston.
