Namocell single cell dispensers use gentle sorting pressure to isolate and dispense GFP-positive cells into 96-well plates.
Generating a clonal GFP cell line first requires sorting GFP-positive cells with a cell sorter. These cells are then cultured for several days to recover from sorter-induced cell stress. Clonal GFP cells are then obtained by limiting dilution at one cell per well. In this application note, a Namocell Single Cell Dispenser was used to isolate single GFP-positive cells into 96-well plate. Low sorting pressure of Namocell instruments enable clonal GFP cell lines to be generated in a single step.
