Expert view: Promising methods in kinase screening

Posted: 12 December 2019 | | No comments yet

Kinase-mediated phosphorylation is a control point for nearly all activity within a cell, making kinases important in many diseases.

Around one third of all pharmaceutical targets are kinases and a commensurate number of assays exist for identifying molecules that regulate their activity. However, there are so many that the vast selection of kinase assays can pose a challenge to researchers. As the number of kinase detection methods used in discovery increases, microplate readers need to perform at a high level in all detection modes.
