App Note: Fast, Multi-sample Particle Analysis Using MVSS 4.0

Posted: 12 October 2015 |

Micro-Flow Imaging™ (MFI™) has new MVSS 4.0 software to classify particles across many biopharmaceutical samples easily and instantaneously…

Micro-Flow Imaging™ (MFI™) has quickly become the go-to method for collecting the information regulatory agencies expect when it comes to characterizing sub-visible particles in biopharmaceuticals.

While older techniques like light obscuration fail to detect particle morphology and image intensity, MFI has always let you measure particle size, count and morphology. So only MFI can distinguish silicone oil droplets from protein-like particles, and has better sensitivity for translucent particles too. And with our new MVSS 4.0 software, you can set up automated protocols and analyze multiple samples using sophisticated classification filters in a snap too!

In this application note, we will show how MVSS 4.0, together with the high-throughput Bot1 Autosampler on the MFI 5000, series lets you screen and analyse groups of samples, so you can monitor the quality and safety of your biopharmaceutical product in no time.
